WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING.
LIMITED 3 MONTH WARRANTY IS SUPPORTED ON ALL E-BIKES. FOR E-BIKES: WARRANTY IS COVERED ON MOTOR & BATTERY ONLY. LIMITED 1 MONTH WARRANTY IS SUPPORTED ON ALL E-SCOOTERS. E-SCOOTERS: WARRANTY IS COVERED ON BATTERY ONLY. CHARGES APPLY IF SPARE PART CHANGE REQUIRED. WARRANTY CAN BE VOIDED IF REPAIR IS REQUIRED DUE TO USER NEGLIGENCE, ACCIDENT OR ABUSE. 7 DAYS 1-TO-1 EXCHANGES ON MANUFACTURER’S DEFECT.

1. DEFINITIONS
The following definitions as per the Warranty:
8ike SG: Bike 888 Limited Liability Partnership
Product: Electric Bicycles, Electric Scooters, Electric Skateboard distributed by 8ike SG
Good: In relation to the Product: the motor;  and the battery cell: with the exclusion of ordinary wear and tear of parts or damage to paintwork, or maintenance.
Owner: The original purchaser of the Product.

2. WARRANTY DURATION
For Electric Bicycles;
Sealed Lead Acid Battery Cells / Lithium Battery Cells (contained in the battery box, excluding the box and its parts), 3 months* from warranty start date unless stated otherwise;

For the motor (excluding the rim and its parts), 3 months* from warranty start date unless stated otherwise;
For the controller unit, 3 months* from warranty start date unless stated otherwise.

For Electric Scooters;
Lithium Battery Cells (contained in the frame), 1 month* from warranty start date unless stated otherwise;

For Electric Skateboard;
Lithium Battery Cells (contained in the frame), 1 month* from warranty start date unless stated otherwise;

*Should you need a longer warranty period, you can purchase an extended warranty from us.

3. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
8ike SG warrants that on delivery of the Product to Owner, the Goods shall:
– be free from damages caused during design, production and assembly of the Electric Bike;
– be of satisfactory quality.
Owner is responsible for ensuring that the product is properly operated, maintained and stored as specified in the Owner’s Manual. This warranty will not cover the repair of damage if the damage is a result of abuse or neglect of the product arising from:
– Fair wear and tear of components;
➢ Paint work
➢ Rust on metal parts / components
➢ Plastic covers
➢ Accessories/ Baskets/Rear racks/Mudguards
➢ Saddles/cushions/seat upholstery
➢ Tyres and inner tubes
➢ Gears / Freewheels
➢ Handgrips
➢ Carbon brushes in motor
➢ Front and rear LED light
➢ Cable connectors wiring
➢ Any other components not stated in point 2
– Wilful damage, accident or negligence by Owner or any third party;
– Any damage of parts due to flood, storm, any water related events and accidents or incidents due to wet weather and other acts of nature;
– Product having been assembled by someone other than Our Service Centre;
– Damages to paintwork, or maintenance to the Product;
– Any modification, alteration, repair, or from the addition of parts and components not originally installed at Our Service Centre;
– If any tamper proof seals at the battery pack and/or the controller box are found to be tampered with or are missing.
In order for a battery cell to be deemed valid for warranty, the capacity of the battery cells must fall below 60% of its rated capacity and the voltage of the battery does not fall below its minimum required voltage to charge. Our service centre will inspect and test the battery cells before it will be replaced.
If a Product has been repaired or replaced anytime under warranty duration, only the remaining unused portion of the original Manufacturer Warranty shall apply.

4. DEFECTIVE GOODS AND RETURNS
In the unlikely event that the Good do not conform to the Warranty, Owner should notify 8ike SG by contacting +65 8821 1118 of any and all apparent defects within ten (10) days of discovery and make the bicycle available at that time for inspection and repairs at the dealer’s place of business. The cost of transportation is not covered and such cost shall be borne by Owner.
Proof of purchase, warranty registration card and relevant accessories or keys will be required. Once the Good has been verified as faulty, 8ike SG will at its sole discretion:
– repair or restore the defective Good in a reasonable time as implied by section 12C(2)(a) of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, as such that the Good is operational and ready for use by Owner; or
– replace the faulty Good if repair is impossible, but not limited to the original Good;
– in the case that the original Good is not available during the Warranty Duration, a compatible part or component will be used so long as the Product is functional.
Warranty claims may take up to 10 working days.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
If either Owner or 8ike SG fails to comply with this Warranty, neither shall be responsible for any losses that the other suffers as a result, except for those losses which are a foreseeable consequence of the failure to comply with this warranty.
Neither Owner nor 8ike SG shall be responsible for losses that result from 8ike SG’s failure to comply with this Warranty including but not limited to, losses that fall into the following categories:
– loss of income or revenue,
– loss of business;
– loss of anticipated savings;
– loss of data; or
– any waste of time.
8ike SG has the final say in evaluating the warranty status.
